When you buy

If you buy a home for which we are the agents, we process your contact information, your personal ID number, your account information and other relevant information about the property. We do this so as to be able to sell the home to you, to document our work and to meet our legal obligations. The legal grounds for this processing are our legitimate interest in selling you the home, our legitimate interest in documenting our work and the fulfilment of legal obligations. The personal data processed for these purposes is kept for 10 years.

When you participate in bidding

If you participate in the bidding for a property, we keep your contact information and the bid you have submitted in a list of bids. We have a statutory obligation to keep a list of bids. We may also need to disclose the list of bids to the seller and the buyer if so required by law. The legal grounds for this processing are the fulfilment of legal obligations. The personal data processed for these purposes is kept for 10 years.

When you register your interest

You can register your interest in one or more properties at a viewing or by contacting us by telephone, e-mail or a contact form on our website. When you do this, we process your contact information and other relevant information that you give us. We do this so as to provide you with the requested information and to process your expression of interest. The legal grounds for this processing are your consent. If you participate in bidding or buy a property, your information is processed as described under the headings above. Otherwise, your personal data is deleted if you withdraw your consent or after the property has been sold.

Controls pursuant to money laundering legislation (buyers and sellers only)

As estate agents, we have a statutory obligation to perform checks on those who buy or sell homes pursuant to money laundering legislation. If you buy or sell a property through us, we will therefore use your contact details to perform these checks. The legal grounds for this processing are the fulfilment of legal obligations. The personal data processed for this purpose is kept for 5 years.

Documenting communication

When you contact us, we may process your contact information and other information that you provide to us. We do this so that we can handle your enquiry. The legal grounds for this processing are our legitimate interest in providing you with the information you request. The personal data is deleted immediately after your request has been answered.

Managing legal claims

We may process your contact details, personal ID number and other information about you that is relevant when handling a legal claim that you present to us. We do this in order to investigate your claim and come to a decision. The legal grounds for this processing are our legitimate interest in determining, asserting and defending legal claims. We keep personal data that is processed in connection with this purpose for as long as it is relevant in the individual case.

Marketing ourselves

Seller, buyer, bidder or customer, client

We process your contact details as a seller, buyer, bidder or stakeholder, as well as information about the properties in which you are interested, in order to market relevant items and offers to you. You may receive marketing material by letter, telephone, SMS text or e-mail. The legal grounds for this processing are your consent or our legitimate interest in marketing our properties and offers to you. You can always cancel this marketing by following the instructions in the letter, text or e-mail that we have sent to you, or by asking the person who called you to block your number for future calls. The personal data used for this purpose will be kept until you cancel the marketing. When we base the processing on a legitimate interest and you are a customer of ours, the personal data is kept for as long as you are a customer and then for a further one year. When we base the processing on a legitimate interest, your data is kept for 90 days. We may also compile statistics on the effectiveness of our marketing for analysis purposes. The statistics do not contain any personal data.

Potential sellers and buyers

We may obtain your contact information from publicly available personal registers, such as SPAR, to inform you about relevant properties and offers. The legal grounds for this processing are our legitimate interest in marketing our properties and services. The contact information processed for this purpose is deleted after 90 days.

Providing you with the website

My Skeppsholmen

You can create an account under the section "My Skeppsholmen" on our website. When you do this, we will process your contact information, login details and the information you provide to us through your account, such as what types of property you are interested in. The legal grounds for this processing are your consent. The data processed in this context will be saved until you close your account.

Use of forms

When you send us a message through the forms on our website, we keep the personal data that you give us. We do this so that we can handle your enquiry. The legal grounds for this processing are our legitimate interest in handling your enquiry. The personal data is deleted immediately after your request has been answered.

Collection of web statistics and web logs
